Running to stand still

É publico o meu grande afecto pela música dos U2... ainda vivo sob o sonho de um dia assistir a um concerto desses gajos ao vivo. Esteve quase para acontecer no ano passado (2005), mas não foi suficiente empenhado para o conseguir... mas à próxima que eles ponham cá os pés, lanço-me de armas e bagagens para uma directa para comprar bilhete.

Mas adiante, esta é uma daquelas músicas dos U2 que ouço e ouço sem me cansar de ouvir... Toda a gente conhece a Elevation, a Where the streets have no name, Sunday Bloody Sunday e outras tantas que marcam o que eles são... mas depois há a Running to Stand Stil, a Stay (fareway so close), All i whant is you, e outras baladas que se ouvem e ouvem e caem tão bem no ouvido que nunca nos cansamos de ouvir. Baladas com letras muito lindas, ajustadas a uma melodia que quem ouve sente ser a combinação única para perceber e entender o que está escrito.

Esta é a Running to Stand Still, que ando a ouvir repetidamente no carro, em casa, no MP3, etc, etc... Aconselho vivamente a versão ao do album Live in Chicago, que é maravilhosa; Mas aqui fica uma versão tambem muito boa, de 1992...
